Latest News - Updated Friday 18th May 2012

Annual General Meeting.  Thanks to the around 30 members who turned up for the AGM on 17 May.  A number of awards were presented and a number of committee role changes were made, including one new committee member.  Full details will be provided along with the minutes on this website in due course.

Website.  Due to me taking a break for a couple of weeks, there will be no updates to this site until the beginning of June.  Please accept my apologies for this, also any emails sent throuhg the website may take a while to be actioned. Also the following two paragraphs take effect after the walks on Sunday 20th and Wednesday 23rd May have taken place.

The next Sunday event will be from the Queen Victoria at Gayton on Sunday 3rd June.  The usual rules apply - start time is around 10.00 but please do not arrive before 09.30 as neither the walk leader nor the venue will be ready for you - stay in bed that extra half hour instead - you know it makes sense!

The Wednesday evening summer season for 2012 is well under way and our next walk will take place on 6th June from the Stags Head at Earls Barton starting at around 18.00.

Next Coach Trip. The next coach trip is scheduled for 17th June and booking is now open.  Please contact John or Alison Percival at 01933 226023 or at any Sunday walk desk or the AGM.

Newsflash - The additional walk arranged as a special event to raise funds for Poppys Butterfly Fund on behalf of Helen and Douglas House in Oxford took place on Sunday 13th May from the Rising Sun in Wellingborough.  I am delighted to report that over 50 walkers took part and that over £5000 was raised.  Sincere thanks to all who took part.

Merchandise News.  Club merchandise can now be requested by email via this site or by telephone to Andrew Whitehead.  Follow this link to see what is available.  Also be aware there are a very small number of 30th anniversary polo shirts (black with gold club logo) available from Andrew.
