Thank you to everyone who attended the coach trip to Warwickshire. There were 35 of you in the end including six non-members, five of whom chose to become members on the day. The next coach trip is planned for 11th September and most of the attendees yesterday expressed interest in attending - so hopefully an even greater number will join us for this next one. Keep your eyes on this website for details of booking and destination,

Our next Sunday walk sees us walking from the Shuckburgh Arms in Southwick. This walk will take place on 3rd July from around 10.00 onwards. As usual please do not arrive before 09.30 as neither the walk desk nor the venue will be ready for you. The walk desk closes at 1500 so we ask you to let us know if you are going to return later than this.

Our next Wednesday Walk this season will take place on 6th July and will be based from the Cock Inn at Denford. Just a reminder that our Wednesday walks are single distance events with just a 10km (6 mile) route and start at around 18.00 in order that you can finish before it gets too dark. Please however do not arrive before 17.30 as we will not be ready for you. Also remember the desk will close at 21.00 so please ensure you check back in by this time.

Urgent - Clermont 2023 We can now confirm that, subject to Covid, the 50th Clermont Festival of Walking will take place in Belgium in February 2023 and it is planned that we will participate and organise a coach trip for the whole weekend. All are invited - first timers will be made as welcome as those who have enjoyed this event for many years. This will be somewhat special as it is the fiftieth anniversary of the event, and, due to Covid, the first time we as a club have participated in five years. We intend to leave on the morning of Friday 10th February and stay three nights travelling back during the day on Monday 13th. We anticipate there will be 50km and 35km routes as well as the usual shorter distances and of course the socialising that anyone who has been to Clermont with us in the past will be only too familiar with. Obviously, staying an extra night rather than travelling out overnight Friday as in previous years will have an impact on the cost, but at this stage we really need to gauge interest. If you are interested in participating in this great event please let Steve Sloan know in order that we can organise accomodation and finalise our plans. Steve can be contacted via message, email or telephone.

Dates are now available for the committee meetings for 2022 and can be found on the committee page of this website using the link above. As announced at the AGM these will now be open to all members who wish to attend, observe, or raise an issue for discussion. The next one is Thursday July 28th and if any of you would like to attend and/or raise any issues please let Pete know before the day.
